Matchroom 27/3/2009

We are currently working on a new set of titles for the Channel 4 show 'Sports Star Challenge'.

Various sports stars fight it out around a Poker table to see who will be the Texas Hold 'Em champion. Matchroom were keen to convey the different sports the guests were famous for in the opening titles but didn't necessarily hold the rights to the footage. We suggested animating the sports stars in 3D and then devised a new compositing process to give it some sparkle.

 

UEFA 21/2/2009

UEFA needed an end shot of the Champions League trophy sitting outside the Olimpico Stadium in Rome. Under the trophy would be a plinth bearing the names of the past winners.

They also wanted it to take place in a dramatic thunderstorm. We recreated the trophy in 3D and built a marble plinth with the team names on. This was then composited over stock footage of the stadium along with some seriously bad weather.

With just a 2D logo to offer us, VMC needed an attention grabbing 3D corporate sting. We duly obliged, finishing on time and under budget.
